My recent stay at Dom Hotel left me with mixed feelings. The location was indeed perfect for exploring St. Gallen's old town and Abbey, and being within walking distance from the train station was a big plus. The room, albeit small, was comfortable and clean, with a generous wardrobe and storage space. The friendly staff and generous breakfast added to the overall positive experience. I appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea available 24/7, making it feel like a home away from home.However, when considering the value proposition, some aspects fell short of expectations. The lack of additional hot breakfast options and limited room amenities like ironing facilities left me wanting more. While the cleanliness and convenience were undeniable, the hotel could benefit from offering more services such as laundry or room service to enhance the overall guest experience.In conclusion, Dom Hotel provides a clean and convenient stay with friendly staff and a good location, but for those seeking a touch of luxury and additional services, it may not fully meet expectations in terms of value for money.
